Victorian university roundtable with Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) delegation

On Monday, Study Melbourne hosted a Victorian university roundtable with delegates from Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), as part of their visit program to Melbourne. Vietnam is a key diversity market for Victorian education providers with significant partnerships between Vietnamese and Victorian universities and TAFEs. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director General of International Cooperation Department at MOET, provided an overview of the latest Vietnamese education and training polices, promoting the development of key industries (AI, semiconductors, robotics), digital transformation and innovation-driven growth.

Chaired by Caroline Hartnett (Director, International Education and Study Melbourne), the roundtable was an opportunity for Victorian providers to meet with senior representatives from the Ministry, present on their institution’s offering and capabilities, discuss recent MOET policy developments and explore possible collaboration opportunities.

The roundtable was attended by representatives from La Trobe University, Australian Catholic University, Deakin University, Monash University, Victoria University, Federation University and RMIT.
