COLFUTURO 2025

Australia remains a top destination for Colombian postgraduate students, with 206 awardees choosing Australian institutions through the prestigious COLFUTURO program this year.

Victoria led nationally, attracting 77 students across master’s and PhD programs, generating an estimated USD $3.7 million contribution to the state’s education sector.

Victorian institutions featured strongly, with Deakin, RMIT, Monash, and The University of Melbourne welcoming this year’s cohort. Notably, Monash University stood out as the most selected Australian university and the second most preferred globally.

The Victorian Government participated in celebrations hosted by the Australian Embassy in Colombia to honour these new scholars and to strengthen relationships with key partners.
