On Friday, 1 May 2026, Caroline Hartnett - Director of Study Melbourne and International Education visited La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus to meet with students visiting from PSB Academy Singapore.

Funded through the Yes to International Students Fund, La Trobe University is delivering a series of projects aimed at boosting their international engagement while enhancing the student experience for their global partner institutions. This includes immersive study tours for Southeast Asian students, international business sprints with Chinese universities to connect students with Victorian startups, and a pilot training program in Thailand to support new Business and IT courses.

Ms Hartnett saw the program in action and spoke with PSB Academy’s biomedical and science degree students, who were participating in a series of lab-based learning sessions.

During their time in Victoria, students were provided with an immersive experience into student life, explored Victoria through La Trobe University’s regional campuses, engaged with local industry and fostered meaningful connections with domestic students.
