Gabriel speaking to potential international students at the Study Melbourne open day

In September, the Study Melbourne team in China supported Victorian education providers to:

  • engage with in-market education stakeholders
  • deliver the Study Melbourne Postgraduate Open Day in collaboration with leading education agents
  • host university recruitment activities at a leading Chinese university.

On the first day, Gabriel Sun, Education Services Manager, participated in the Australian Catholic University (ACU) agent workshop in Shanghai. Study Melbourne spoke about study options in Victoria and Study Melbourne's support of international students through our global network ESMs and Study Melbourne Hubs.

The next day Gabriel took 3 Victorian university representatives from Monash, Deakin and RMIT to Wuhan University of Science and Technology. A Study Melbourne information session was delivered to approximately 100 Bachelor degree students on the campus. We received extremely positive feedback and interest from students keen to study overseas.

On the final day, Study Melbourne in collaboration with one of the leading Chinese education agencies, New Oriental Vision Overseas, hosted a Study Melbourne Postgraduate Open Day in Wuhan. Approximately 120 students and parents attended this session. Victorian university representatives participated in the event including:

  • RMIT University
  • Deakin University
  • La Trobe University
  • Monash University
  • ACU
  • Swinburne University of Technology.

We were also pleased to have a Monash Alumni join us. She shared her personal study and career journey with the audience.
