Study Melbourne open day in Shenzhen

The Study Melbourne open day successfully connected over 90 students and parents in Shenzhen on 29 March. The day was a collaborative initiative between the Victorian Government, local education agents and Victorian educational institutions.
Co-hosted with 6 leading Victorian universities and 8 Victorian government schools, the event aimed to inspire international education aspirations and strengthen partnerships between Victoria and Shenzhen.
Attendees explored Victorian education systems, campus life, and career opportunities through dynamic Q&A panels. Representatives from universities and schools highlighted academic excellence, multicultural environments and post-study work pathways.
Deputy Commissioner Lucy Du opened the event, emphasising Victoria’s commitment to nurturing global talent, while Education Services Director Qian Li detailed Study Melbourne’s student programs.
The event also featured Victorian alumnus Mr. Chen Haotian, Managing Director of a booming robotics company. He shared how his Victorian education fuelled his entrepreneurial success.
Concluding with one-on-one consulting sessions, the day reinforced the growing demand for Victorian education as a pathway to innovation and career growth.
