Study Melbourne’s Empowered Series (Empowered) is a Victorian Government initiative which invests in student empowerment and leadership development beyond the classroom.

Using a strengths-based approach to international student capacity building, the Empowered programs delivers free events and webinars for international students and recent alumni, with a focus on settling in, career development, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Offered in Melbourne and regional Victoria, in person and online, events and activities range from one-on-one careers support and tailored career development workshops, to volunteering and leadership skills sessions, industry and alumni panel discussions and premium networking events. The Empowered programs are free and inclusive and designed to help students develop their soft skills and increase their employability.
