Study Melbourne Ambassador program
Applications for the 2024 Ambassador Program are closed. Applications for next year's program will open in early 2025.

If you are looking for a way to build your leadership skills, make connections and contribute to the student community, the Study Melbourne Ambassador Program could be the ideal opportunity.

Our team of Ambassadors plays a vital role in representing Study Melbourne, advocating for their fellow international students and growing our supportive and vibrant community.

Here is everything you need to know about becoming an Ambassador.

What does it mean to be a Study Melbourne Ambassador?

Each year, we select 10 international students currently studying in Victoria for the Ambassador Program. Successful applicants get the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities and events to support Study Melbourne and the international student community.

Contributing to the community is a core responsibility for Ambassadors. During the Program, Ambassadors assist in planning and delivering student events and representing Study Melbourne at official functions. They are also asked to speak at events or moderate a panel discussion.

Additionally, Ambassadors are asked to share their experiences, feedback and insights with Study Melbourne, government groups and other external stakeholders. In this way, Ambassadors can advocate for their fellow international students and shape programs that will better meet their needs.

Finally, Ambassadors play an important role in driving engagement and growth across Study Melbourne’s media channels by sharing their unique story and perspective with others.

Speaker 1: The highlight of my experience as a Study Melbourne ambassador in 2023 was not just one single event or activity. It was just the people, the people that I met, the people I could connect with, the relationships I built, and also the international students that I could help.

Speaker 2: For me, being an ambassador of Study Melbourne brings so much value because coming out here, we need an opportunity to actually integrate and network with the community and our new environment, and Study Melbourne just brings so many opportunities.

Speaker 3: Yeah, so one year ago I came here as an international student just like everyone else. That's where I found Study Melbourne and other panels. Ever since I was motivated, I starting volunteer and becoming a Study Melbourne ambassador. One year later, I came back to the same panel. I have become the panellist and start to sharing my journey, and I attend events like industrial networking with industry partners, promoting the benefit of hiring international students. So thank you so much for Study Melbourne giving me the opportunities.
