Congratulations to the Study Melbourne Future Founders Pitch Competition Winners!

From a pool of incredible applications, 5 international student startups were selected to pitch their businesses in just 3 minutes. This was followed by a rapid-fire Q&A with our expert judges. For the first time, the audience were able to vote live for their favourite.

We are delighted to announce the winners. They will each receive prize money to kickstart their business idea. The first-place winner will also receive a StartSpace Loft membership.

  • 1st place: Rally (Fey Shue & Varshith Meesala) – connecting people with their next sports competitor or partner.
  • 2nd place: Huddled (Davin Karunanayake & Archer Simmonds) – improving communication between students and education providers.
  • 3rd place: AUS BIOS LABS (Peter Francis Mathew Elango & Ying Zhi Cheong) – enabling portable breast screening in the comfort of a woman's home.

The Audience Choice Award went to Rally, who will also receive mentorship from Usman Iftikhar from Catalysr – Accelerator for Migrants & Refugees.

A big congratulations to all 5 teams – AUS BIOS LABS, FINNOVA, Huddled, Rally and SkillBite – for sharing your business ideas on stage. We are excited to follow your entrepreneurial journeys.
