Study Melbourne recently supported a high-level education delegation from the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM), one of Vietnam’s top university groups. The delegation was in Melbourne for a week-long knowledge exchange program, facilitated by TET Education Group, visiting 5 Victorian universities: the University of Melbourne, Monash University, RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology and Deakin University.

Caroline Hartnett, Director, Study Melbourne and International Education, highlighted the Victorian Government’s support for international students in Victoria and education relationship with Vietnam.

The visit follows the Victorian Government’s recent renewal of its MOU with the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, under which education and training is an area of cooperation. This engagement reaffirms the strong bilateral education relationship, which is built on long-standing transnational education partnerships, an extensive alumni diaspora and a significant Vietnamese student population in Victoria of over 18,000 enrolments.
