This October, the Study Melbourne School Roadshow made its way to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where we successfully hosted the Victoria Open Day at Sovannaphumi School, Takmao 2 Campus, welcoming an estimated 500 attendees.

The event, delivered in partnership with the Victorian Department of Education, brought together Cambodian students and parents, Victorian education leaders and Australian Embassy representatives, providing opportunities to connect with Victorian schools, universities and vocational education providers, explore study pathways, and promote Victoria as a leading study destination.

A key highlight was the panel discussion “Your Future in Tech & AI: How High School Students Can Start Preparing Today” which explored how students can prepare for emerging opportunities in technology and artificial intelligence (AI). Personalised consultations, interactive activities and AI experiences also provided insights into study pathways and student life in Victoria.

Alongside the Victoria Open Day, Study Melbourne also hosted the Victoria Partners Appreciation event, bringing together 37 Cambodian and Australian government representatives, education agents, institutional partners and Victorian education providers, creating opportunities to strengthen relationships and explore future collaboration.

Overall, these engagements support Victoria's positioning in Cambodia by building awareness of Victorian education offerings, strengthening stakeholder relationships and creating opportunities for future institutional partnerships. Victoria is the preferred study destination in Australia for Cambodian students.
