In late June, Study Melbourne was pleased to deliver a series of engagements in Kuala Lumpur, strengthening education and industry connections.

The Malaysia Victoria Education Partners Dinner brought together Victorian and Malaysian universities, scholarship bodies, government, Malaysian partners and industry. The event highlighted Victoria’s long-standing commitment to Malaysia through transnational education campuses, pathway programs and dedicated local support staff.

Study Melbourne and Victoria University also co-hosted a symposium on Malaysia’s Talent Gap and Future Workforce. This was anchored by a panel discussion sharing insights on national talent development, featuring Professor Dr Mien Wee Cheng of Sunway Education Group, Akmal Niza Ahmad of PETRONAS, Biruntha Mooruthi of TalentCorp under the Ministry of Human Resources and Ibrahim Sani from Yayasan Peneraju.

The Malaysia–Victoria Education Partners Roundtable Breakfast convened leading education agents to exchange insights and explore deeper collaboration in recruitment, transnational education, pathways and employability. It was reaffirming to hear from agents that Melbourne remains the most popular Australian study destination due to high university rankings, strong community ties and established support networks and institutional partnerships.

These 3 events, delivered to coincide with a visit to Kuala Lumpur by Global Victoria’s CEO, Danni Jarrett, reinforced Victoria’s position as a trusted and leading education partner for Malaysia.
