We were delighted to launch the first session of the new Study Melbourne: Victoria 101 Virtual Series, designed to provide education agents, career counsellors, educators, students and parents across Southeast Asia with practical and timely information about studying, working and living in Victoria.

Our inaugural webinar, delivered in partnership with the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC), focused on "Understanding VTAC: A Practical Guide for 2027 Entry."

The response exceeded expectations, demonstrating strong interest in Victoria's higher education pathways with 111 attendees. The session provided valuable insights into the 2027 VTAC application process, including application categories, key timelines, course preferences, entry requirements, alternative pathways, and practical considerations for advising students and families.

A special thank you to Paula Soon, Director of Admissions and Client Services at VTAC, for sharing her extensive expertise and practical advice. Paula's deep knowledge of admissions, pathways and student services offered participants a comprehensive understanding of how to better support students considering Victorian tertiary education.

It was particularly encouraging to see education professionals from across Southeast Asia come together to exchange insights and strengthen their knowledge of Victoria's world-class education system.

This strong participation highlights the ongoing demand for trusted, up-to-date information and reinforces the value of creating opportunities for professional learning and regional collaboration.

We look forward to continuing the series and connecting with even more education professionals in the months ahead. Our next Victoria 101 Virtual Series session will be in December, focusing on TAFE.
