Excellence in International Student Experience
This award will recognise an international education provider or organisation that has enabled international students to have a positive experience in Victoria through innovative practices and service delivery excellence.
Initiatives and activities that exceed academic support will be considered and could include student wellbeing and engagement initiatives that enable equitable and responsive access to services that are approachable, welcoming, safe and inclusive for international students.
Assessment criteria
Criterion 1: Demonstrate outcomes which enhance the experience of international students in Victoria (50%)
Criterion 2: Demonstrate excellence in service delivery (20%)
Criterion 3: Demonstrate innovation which enhances the experience of international students in Victoria (20%)

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the Excellence in International Student Experience award you must demonstrate that your organisation:
- holds a current Australian Business Number (ABN)
AND
- is an accredited, registered or otherwise recognised provider of post-secondary education with a CRICOS number under state or federal legislation to international students;
OR
- is a business operating under Australian law without a CRICOS number, including not-for-profit organisations.
Applicants may have operations in more than one state or country location, however only the operations and services for international students in Victoria will be considered in the assessment of your application.
Recipients of Study Melbourne Inclusion Program grants are eligible to apply for this award.

Excellence in International Student Employability and Career Development
This award celebrates an international education provider or organisation in Victoria delivering excellence in enhancing international student employability and career development.
Assessment criteria
Criterion 1: Outcomes which enhance employability and career development of international students in Victoria (50%)
Criterion 2: Excellence in service delivery (20%)
Criterion 3: Innovation which has enhanced employability and career development of international students in Victoria (20%)
Criterion 4: Participation in Victoria’s Commitment to Action (10% automatically given).

To be eligible to apply for the International Student Employability and Career Development award you must demonstrate that your organisation holds a current Australian Business Number (ABN) AND EITHER:
- is an accredited, registered or otherwise recognised provider of post-secondary education with a CRICOS number under state or federal legislation to international students;
OR
- is a business operating under Australian law without a CRICOS number, including not-for-profit organisations.
Applicants may have operations in more than one state or country location, however only the operations and services for international students in Victoria will be considered in the assessment of your application.

International Student Employer of the Year
This award recognises an employer who has championed employment of Victorian international students and contributed significantly to Victoria’s international education sector by nurturing international students and graduates within the workforce.
Assessment criteria
Criterion 1: On-going effort in addressing barriers to international student and graduate employment in Australia (50%)
Criterion 2: Effort in employing more international students and graduates in their fields of expertise (30%)
Criterion 3: Effort in promoting international student success (10%)
Criterion 4: Participation in Victoria’s Commitment to Action (10% automatically given).

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the International Student Employer of the Year award you must demonstrate that your organisation holds a current Australian Business Number (ABN) and is a business or non-profit organisation operating under Australian law, including not-for-profit organisations.
Applicants may have operations in more than one state or country location, however only initiatives delivered for international students in Victoria will be considered in the assessment of your application.

Excellence in Transnational Education and International Partnerships
This award will be presented to a Victorian-based education provider who has demonstrated excellence in developing and implementing collaborative international partnerships, including transnational education and other engagement initiatives.
Assessment criteria
Criterion 1: Excellence in development and management of the international partnership (25%)
Criterion 2: Demonstrate outcomes delivered through the international partnership (50%)
Criterion 3: Demonstrate excellence in innovation through the delivery of the collaborative international partnership (25%)

To be eligible to apply for the Excellence in Transnational Education and International Partnerships award you must demonstrate that your organisation holds a current Australian Business Number (ABN) AND EITHER:
- is an accredited, registered or otherwise recognised provider of post-secondary education with a CRICOS number under state or federal legislation to international students;
OR
- is a business operating under Australian law without a CRICOS number, including not-for-profit organisations.
Applicants may have operations in more than one state or country location, however only the operations and services for international students in Victoria will be considered in the assessment of your application.

Excellence in International Student Accommodation
This award will be presented to a Victorian education provider, business or not-for-profit organisation that has demonstrated excellence in quality and inclusion in the delivery of international student accommodation services.
Assessment criteria
Criterion 1: Excellence in providing high quality accommodation services for international students in Victoria (35%)
Criterion 2: Excellence in delivery of affordable and inclusive accommodation for international students in Victoria (35%)
Criterion 3: Excellence in providing student-centric accommodation service delivery for international students in Victoria (30%)

Premier’s Award – International Education Provider of the Year
To be considered for the Premier’s Award – International Education Provider of the Year, applicants must be accredited, CRICOS registered or otherwise recognised as a provider of post-secondary education to international students in Victoria, Australia under State or Federal legislation.
The Premier’s Award – International Education Provider of the Year does not have a separate published Eligibility Criteria or Assessment Criteria and the winner will be selected from the winners of the following industry categories:
- Excellence in International Student Experience
- Excellence in International Student Employability and Career Development
- Excellence in Transnational Education and International Partnerships.
