The Victorian International Education Awards 2026 were announced on 29 September 2026.
Proudly presented by Study Melbourne, these prestigious Victorian Government awards celebrate our most outstanding international students and recent graduates and recognise the impact and contribution of Victoria’s world-class international education sector.
The awards recognise Victoria’s most outstanding international students through the following award categories:
- International Student of the Year – Higher Education
- International Student of the Year – Research
- International Student of the Year – English Language
- International Student of the Year – Vocational Education and Training (VET)
- International Student of the Year – Regional
- International Student/Graduate Entrepreneur of the Year
- Emerging Leader – International Alumni Award
- Premier’s Award – International Student of the Year

Adiba Erfan: The winner of the 2026 Premier's Award International Student of the Year is Josh Nguyen from the University of Melbourne.

Josh Nguyen: I feel great. I feel so happy, and everything feels so surreal. I think it's such a great way to conclude my PhD. I also see this award as my responsibility to continue to contribute and continue to pave the way for the next generation.
