What is the Study Melbourne Hub?

The Study Melbourne Hub is a space for international students.

I can come here by myself or with my friends.

Studying at the Study Melbourne Hub

I can study on Level 1 of the Hub.

I can sit at one of the big tables and use the study space.

Sometimes the Hub can get noisy, so I can bring headphones to help me study.

I can ask the staff to provide me with access to a quiet room if I am overwhelmed. I can adjust the lighting in the quiet room.

Finding a job or getting a resume checked

I can get my resume checked any weekday from 1pm–5pm.

I don’t need to book an appointment. I can visit the Hub and wait my turn to get my resume checked. I can prepare my questions in advance.

I can also get advice about how to find a job and how to prepare for an interview.

If I can't come to the Hub, I can book a free online resume checking appointment or a one-on-one job interview preparation session online.

I can attend events at the Hub for free.

I can meet new people or bring my friends to these events.

I can register for the events on the website or through QR codes around the Hub.

Staff at the Study Melbourne Hub

When I visit the Hub, I can communicate with the staff about any problems I may have.

Staff can help me with problems related to:

  • my job
  • housing
  • legal issues
  • health
  • well-being and much more.

If I have a problem I want to discuss, I can let staff know at the front desk. I can then meet with someone in a quiet room and communicate privately. I can prepare my questions in advance.

I can request an interpreter if needed.

I can identify the staff by their Study Melbourne lanyard or name badge.
