Deakin University marks 50 years of excellence with celebrations in Kenya

Study Melbourne is proud to celebrate 50 years of Deakin University and its strong presence in Kenya and sub-Saharan Africa. Since 1998, Deakin has been actively engaged in Kenya, building partnerships with education providers, agents, and institutions while fostering a growing alumni network across the region.
To mark this milestone, Deakin University hosted a special event in Nairobi. Representatives from the Australian government, the Kenyan Ministry of Education and Parliament, as well as student recruitment agents and school counsellors attended. The event recognised the contributions of education agents in supporting Deakin University and the State of Victoria. Education agents play an important role in connecting students with world-class education opportunities in Australia.
Deakin continues to strengthen its engagement across Africa with a dedicated team based on the continent. Study Melbourne is proud to support these efforts and looks forward to continued collaboration, fostering new opportunities for students and institutions alike. Celebrating 50 years is a testament to the impact of international partnerships, and this milestone reflects a commitment to further growth and innovation in the region.
