Australia has an excellent reputation for quality education, and situations where an education provider cannot fully deliver a course are rare. However, if your education provider closes, does not start your course, or stops delivering your course before you finish, the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) may be able to help you.
The TPS is an Australian Government initiative that supports international students on student visas, VET Student Loans (VSL) students, and domestic higher education students who pay their tuition fees up-front or using a HELP loan. Depending on your circumstances, support may include a tuition fee refund, a loan re-credit, or help to find an alternative course so you can continue your studies.
The TPS may also assist international students who are entitled to a refund from an education provider, including where they withdraw from a course or their student visa is refused, and the provider has not paid the refund.
More information about the TPS is available on the TPS website.
