1. Is there lift access and storage?
The Hub has lift access and limited storage capacity. Suppliers and stakeholders can store some food and beverage, but all users of the space must remove all food, drinks, equipment and kitchenware at the conclusion of their event.
2. What IT equipment is available to use?
- Projector connected via HDMI and 3.5 sound cable
- One wireless microphone
- Sound/ speakers in room through 3.5mm headphone jack
- Drop down projector screen
- Lectern
3. What kitchen and beverage facilities are available?
- Industrial fridge
- No freezer
- Minimal plates, platters, cutlery, wine and champagne glasses (quantity enough to cover small event up to 10 people)
- For daytime events, free tea and coffee are available on the ground floor.
- Boiling water, coffee and tea bags available on request for events on Level 2.
- For night events, please bring your own beverage options.
4. Is it possible to serve alcohol during events?
It is possible to serve alcohol at certain events at the Hub. However, at events predominately aimed at students, service of alcohol is not permitted. And when alcohol is provided, “Responsible Service of Alcohol” (RSA) certification is required.
5. What are the consent requirements around privacy, media and social media?
The Study Melbourne Hub is required to comply with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) in relation to the collection, use, storage, security and disclosure of personal information. Please contact the Hub for further information.

Yes, as an external user of the Hub you need to arrange public liability insurance.
