Melbourne continues to be home to Australia's top-ranked university

In the new 2024 Academic Ranking of World Universities, the University of Melbourne retained its position as Australia’s top-ranked university, ranking 37th in the world.

Four other Victorian universities also placed in the world’s top 300, with Monash University coming in at an impressive #82. A big congratulations to Deakin University, and Swinburne University of Technology for also placing in the world’s top 300.
